Mustang Brake Hose Tech

Teflon-lined, braided stainless steel brake hoses improve performance over the stock rubber hoses.

Stainless braided hose provides:

  • Firmer brake pedal.
  • Quicker braking response.
  • Better brake modulation.

Stainless braided hoses are considered a safety requirement for any car that is raced because the high heat generated during track use can cause failure of the stock rubber hoses.

See a Department of Transportation warning letterabout OEM hose failures on Mustang Cobras.

  • A distinctive feature of the MM hoses is the ability of the hose end to swivel at the chassis fitting prior to tightening. This allows perfect alignment to accommodate production tolerances between the chassis tab and the caliper's banjo bolt.
  • MM front hose kits for 2004 and earlier Mustangs include both coarse and fine thread fluid bolts, because Ford has used both thread pitches on front calipers over the years.
  • MM stainless steel brake hoses are a direct fit for the listed Mustang applications.
  • A brake fluid-resistant urethane covering helps protect the stainless steel braid and helps keep the braided line clean.
  • DOT approved.
  • Hose kits come complete with new fluid bolts, crush washers, and copyrighted MM instructions detailing application specific features for each model Mustang they fit.

Maximum Motorsports was the first to offer direct replacement stainless steel brake hoses for Mustangs in the early 1990's. In 2003, we completely redesigned our brake hoses, ensuring our exclusive Mustang braided stainless steel brake hoses remain the best available.
