Low Slung Door Bars can be ordered in either of two ways:

• Along with a new MMRB-1.1 through MMRB1.3 roll bar. Add this item to your shopping cart when ordering the roll bar to get the low-slung door bars added to your 4-point roll bar when we build it.
• As a retrofit kit for you to add to your previously installed MMRB-1.1 through MMRB1.3 roll bar. This option does require welding to install.

Low-slung Door Bars are designed to stiffen the chassis while also allowing easy access into your 1981-93 Mustang hardtop. These low door bars increase chassis rigidity without the intrusiveness of the traditional 6-point roll bar's high door bars. Does not meet NHRA or NMRA rules. Made from 1-1/2" diameter by 0.134" wall DOM seamless tube.

Note: Look very closely at the installation photos to confirm that these door bars will clear your car's seats and your car's door panels; we are unable to secure every possible combination of door panel and seat for test fitment.

Does not fit:

1979 and some 1980 Mustangs due to interference between the door bar and the interior door handle. After installation of the door bars, the handle will clear them, but the handle can not be moved enough to actuate the door opening mechanism. The door can still be opened by the exterior door handle.
