Wilwood Superlite 4R 4-piston front brake kit, road race, 1994-04 Mustang, 12.19"

Fits: 1994-2004 Mustang (also 1979-93 Mustangs converted to 1994-95 SN95 spindles/axle)

• 12.19" diameter x 1.25" wide rotors: slotted
• 4-piston Forged Superlite 4R calipers, anodized (gray) finish
• Pads: BP-35 compound, Wilwood pad plate #7420
• Stainless steel braided hoses included
• This kit can be used on earlier Mustangs if you have updated to SN95 spindles, but also requires a hose fitting adaptor. Order one MMBAK-4 adapter. Please note in the special instructions field if you have a 1993 or earlier car.
• Road race kit with high temperature race pads. Extended low temperature (street) use will cause premature rotor and pad wear
• Minimum wheel size: 15" - check the wheel clearance drawing in the Wilwood instructions before ordering

Mixing Fox and SN95 brake kits? Call us first.
If you are combining an SN95 (1994-2004) kit with a Fox (1979-1993) kit, or a Fox kit with an SN95 kit, please call us at (888) 378-8830 before ordering so we can run the calculations to make sure the kits will work together. If needed, we can ask Wilwood to do a no-cost caliper substitution to get the brake bias correct.

This kit is configured for dedicated road racing on all models of the 1994-2004 Mustang, or any 1979-93 model that has been updated to use 1994-95 model SN95 type spindles. The four piston FSL4R/ST calipers used in this kit feature a forged aluminum body with a Type III Mil-Spec hard anodized, medium gray color finish. Hard anodizing provides superior wear resistance in the piston bores, and high resistance to abrasion and corrosion throughout. Thermlock® pistons are used to reduce heat transfer from the pads to increase fade resistance, and to extend service life by decreasing temperatures in the caliper body, fluid, and seals. Internal damper springs and controlled retraction, high-temperature piston seals assure consistent pedal height from start to finish. Caliper piston volumes are matched for full compatibility with the OE power brake booster and master cylinder, and are easily configured with manual brake conversions and balance bar pedals using appropriately sized master cylinders. Spec37 alloy GT competition series 12.19" diameter directional vane rotors provide high cooling efficiency with rugged durability and thermal stability in sustained high heat competition. Unsprung and rotating weight are minimized by using forged aluminum rotor mounting hats for mounting on the factory hubs. Mounting brackets, including all premium grade fasteners, secure the calipers in the stock location, with minor modifications to the spindle for bracket clearance. Details of the required modifications are illustrated on page 4 of assembly instructions. This championship proven system is completed with high temperature, high friction, endurance race compound pads selected specifically by application. Stainless steel braided flexlines are included in each kit to complete the installation.
